Fabulous contemporary 2 bedroom villa with private pool on small, select development on the outskirts of Yalikavak.  Perfect for small families or 2 couples.  As well as the villa's own private pool, there is use of the huge communal pool too.

The villa is located approx 3kms from Yalikavak village centre in the Gumuskaya bay area and has 2 Bedrooms but can sleep 5 or 6 as there is a sofa bed in the lounge.   It has air conditioning, private gardens, pool and sea views across 2 bays of the Aegean. Private parking.

The villa's itself is tastefully furnished a with modern fixtures and fittings. The whole property inside and out has been finished to high specification.

ACCOMMODATION
The lounge, kitchen and dining area (with A/C) is open plan, creating a light and airy living space.  The large floor to ceiling windows in the lounge give panoramic views over to Yalikavak and the surrounding hillside.  There is a fully fitted kitchen with splash backs, oven, hob, dishwasher etc quality base and cupboard units housing all the necessary equipment for a luxury self-catering holiday.  A door leads from the kitchen to the side terrace which is perfect for BBQs and al-fresco dining or just watching the sunsets each night.

The dining/lounge/living area is furnished with modern furniture. 
The lounge area has comfy brown leather with cream upholstered sofa and chairs, coffee table, display units and lamps, flat screen TV with DVD player and Hi Fi unit.  The sofa turns into a double sofa bed and would be fine to accommodate 2 further guests.

BEDROOMS - 2 with A/C
Bedrooms - there are two good sized bedrooms with double beds.  A shower room serves both of these rooms.  Sliding doors open from the bedrooms to the swimming pool terrace area.  There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer space in both bedrooms.

Both bedrooms are at the lower (pool and garden level) of the villa.

BATHROOMS - 1.5.
There is a shower room at lower floor (bedroom level) and a cloakroom with WC and wash basin on the upper floor (living level).

Other - hairdryer, exterior 'conservatory' style sofa and chairs, sun loungers, BBQ.


Cleaning & laundry - fresh bed linen and towels are provided.  A washing machine and tumble drier are provided for guest's use (also an iron and ironing board) and can be found in the utility area in the cupboard below the stairs.  The villa will be cleaned on arrival and departure.  Included in the price for two week stays is a mid-term mini clean ie change of bed linen, quick clean of bathrooms, kitchen and general tidy up.  Should you wish further regular cleans during your stay, this can be arranged for an additional charge - please contact us for costs.  Beach towels are not provided.

OUTSIDE
The villa's private pool (can be heated in winter for an additional charge) quietly ripples in front of the villa. Although the villa itself is smaller than the other 4 bedroom villas on the development, the pool is the same size as the larger villa's pools.  The pool and sun bathing deck has been built with non-slip tiles.  The pool faces the sea and surrounding hillside but does not have full sea views from the lower terrace because of the villa in front.  The disruption of view is minimal and makes the pool more private.  There are super sea views from the terrace off the kitchen area and of course from inside the villa and to the side of the pool.

Sun loungers are provided for guest use.  At night time, enjoy al fresco dining watching the twinkling lights around the bay light up as dusk falls.

For those wanting to escape the sun, there is plenty of shade under the covered terrace area outside the lounge.

The private gardens around the villa are landscaped and fenced with the communal areas maintained and planted to a high standard. 

Beach - for beach lovers.  Less than a 10 min walk down hill is a sandy beach with loungers and shades which are available to the public for a small fee.

Transport/Airport Transfer - although the local Dolmus (minibus) service runs past the main entrance to the development, car hire is recommended to enable you to explore the towns and villages of the Bodrum Peninsula.  It takes approximately 6-8 mins to drive into Yalikavak in one direction and approximately 20 mins to the larger town of Turgutreis in the other.

Shop/Bakal - there is a small mini-market, shop (Bakal in Turkish) a short distance away.  You will find many of these dotted about and they are open late into the night.

Market - Each Thursday, Yalikavak hosts a large vendor's market with a range of fruit, vegetables, olives, cheeses, herbs and spices for sale on one side of the road and clothing, souvenirs etc on the other.  Worth a visit as its a very colourful sight.

Banks/supermarkets/petrol stations etc
Yalikavak (the nearest town/village) is a short drive away.  Here you will find several banks, Garanti & Finansbank are two good ones, these have ATMs.  Large supermarkets, Carrefour, Migros and Tansas can also be found on the outskirts of Yalikavak, whereas just outside Bodrum (Ortakent area) there is a very large Kipa (Tesco) and next door, Metro (Makro) cash and carry - visitors can apply for a day pass for the latter.
Local shops (mini markets or Bakals as they are known in Turkey) can be found almost everywhere and are open late at nights.

Petrol stations - again in Yalikavak near the large supermarkets above or on the main road out of Yalikavak to Bodrum.

We meant to send you a quick note.  The villa was perfect for our purposes - we sat at the table working in a lovely, light and airy room with a wonderful view. We got lots of work completed in wonderful surroundings and no phones going all day! The staff were all very helpful.  The only negative point was two days of strong winds but at least it was sunny, and not too hot! Only had car for first day in the end, but they were very efficient and car was almost new so good service there also.
