Turgutreis is 18km away from Bodrum and about 45 minutes drive from Bodrum airport. A thriving town with all year round amenities and the largest market (pazar) held each Saturday.

Beautiful detached villa set in walled gardens amongst tangerine trees and flowers a riot of colour during the summer months.  Private pool, sunny and shady terrace, 2 bedrooms (one en-suite), open plan living area and galleried landing.  The prize-winning beach of Turgutreis, is just 10 minutes walk away. On Saturdays, the town hosts the biggest market (pazar) in the area, where you can mingle with locals and tourists alike bargaining for items of clothing, fruit and veg and articles of interest.

The owner of the villa has put care and effort into the design and decoration of the property, their love of antiquities shows inside and out.  They have taken care to incorporate elements of local architecture and lifestyle such as open plan and split level features, antique marble ornaments, local Anatolian handcrafts, Italian tiles and stone walls.

Ground Floor
Has a spacious bathroom with shower, wash basin,WC and full length mirror and a bedroom which can sleep one or two people.  The open plan living area has a traditional fireplace, comfy and stylish furniture, satellite TV and internet access and a fully equipped kitchen, complete with breakfast bar.

A house has a safe for guests to store their passports and other valuables.


First Floor
The split level gallery is fully furnished with a double bed, en-suite WC and wash basin.  This room has a delightful Juliet balcony which overlooks the pool and gardens.

Solar panels have been fitted to the roof for instant hot water.

Outside
Bright orange fruit from tangerine trees, sparkling blue pool, lush green lawn and vegetation and bright flora bring a riot of colour to your eyes.  A sunny and shady terrace with purpose built stone furniture, complete with soft cushions is available for you to sit and take in the sights and sounds of the gardens.  There is interest all around as marble or antique ornaments are scattered tastefully around the courtyard terrace area.  Calm and peaceful is the order of the day. 

Cleaning and Laundry
The house will be prepared with fresh linen/towels on arrival and for any guests staying two weeks and interim mini clean and laundry change is included.

POOL TOWELS are available for guest use.

Turgutreis
The prize winning beach is just 10 mins stroll away.  Here, you can spend your days sunbathing, swimming or take advantage of the water sports activities available.  Turgutreis has many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all offering delicious Turkish food and other International cuisine.  If its a warm atmosphere you want, then Turgutreis offers it, if its total relaxation and quiet, then slip back to this calm oasis and enjoy a nightcap or sundowner in your own hidden garden.

GUEST FEEDBACK
Just returned from 2 completely relaxing weeks at the Hidden Garden Villa in Turgutreis.  The villa itself has everything you could possibly want to make a holiday very comfortable, but it is the outside space that makes this villa such a special experience.  The beautiful and luscious gardens provide sun and shade throughout the day, as do the multiple seating and lounging areas outside.  The garden and pool (which is the perfect temperature) are very private and quiet, with many varieties of birds, butterflies, dragonflies and of course the tortoises, to provide interest.
 
As this is the owner's home for much of the year it really does feel that you are staying in a home rather than a rental villa.  The small touches such as plentiful condiments, a good selection of serving bowls, portable outside light and large selection of linens and towels all add to clients' comfort.  The fast broadband wi-fi was a huge bonus and didn't fail once. The owner is local and could not be more charming or obliging.
 
A car is really not needed unless you want to explore the surrounding areas - and even then the small local buses are cheap and frequent.  Two large supermarkets are under 10 minutes walk, as is the seafront, restaurants, backstreet shops and stalls.
 
The Saturday markets - one for clothing and gifts, and one for fruit, vegetables and spices - are well worth a visit.  Both these and the small bus station are five minutes stroll down the road.

We had a wonderful holiday, all went a bit too quick needed more than a week.The house was delightful and so was James the owner! It was even nicer than the photos on the website and very good value for money. James was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for him. The house was in a very quiet location, we even got used to the call for prayer from the mosque, and we were able to really relax and chill out for the week- great.
 The transfers to and from the airport went smoothly and the driver was polite and helpful. 

We were so impressed we would like to provisionally book again for next year. 

Overall a great trip on our first visit to Turkey, definitely recommend this property and the different experience of being in the local village has made us rethink hotel based holidays.
